The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Product Specialist is an advocate for Terra Dotta’s ISSS product to both internal and external stakeholders and is a conduit for cross-departmental efforts to assure the success of the product. The Product Specialist works closely with the Product Development team to help manage development priorities, assist with testing scenarios, and coordinate quarterly software releases. In addition, responsibility includes creating written documentation, knowledgebase articles, release notes, and other messaging to clients. The Product Specialist will train internal audiences following each software release and will write and present client-facing webinars. The Product Specialist will also gather and curate product feedback from clients and Terra Dotta staff in order to help inform development priorities.
This is a full-time position in Terra Dotta’s Chapel Hill, NC office.
Ensure that product documentation is current, well-organized, and complies with the standards established for all Terra Dotta products. Documentation includes:
Coordinate software releases
Create release notes that are comprehensive, accurate, and comply to standards
Coordinate and generate internal and external communication about scheduled and completed releases
Present new functionality to sales, support, implementation, and marketing teams prior to release
Be available off-hours on release nights to assist with testing, client communication and resolution of issues, if needed.
Ensure all documentation is updated to support new features and functionality
Encourage client adoption of new functionality
Identify need, schedule, create scripts, and produce webinars as appropriate to
Support product releases
Enhance client satisfaction
Ease client pain
Present sessions for annual user conference
Actively gather and document feedback from clients, product manager, support team, and sales team regarding needed software functionality to assure market leadership
Provide input to Product Owners/development team regarding product roadmap
Monitor internal support channels and provide assistance including troubleshooting with product-related issues
Monitor and respond to client forums
Provide support to sales reps and sales engineers as needed
Other tasks as assigned by management
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Experience working in an international student and scholar office
Familiarity with Terra Dotta software preferred
Experience in a similar role
