The Associate Director Global Programs is responsible for managing the international programs and global initiatives of the undergraduate business program, which awards a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). International programs includes out bound international study and incoming exchange students. The BSBA Program provides global opportunities for approximately 840 degree students plus nearly 400 non-degree students who pursue second majors or minors in business. Currently, approximately 60% of Olin students are involved with studying outside the United States and Olin would like to increase this percentage through a diversification of its programs, location, duration and educational focus so that 100% of BSBA students have a global experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the Undergraduate Programs office study abroad opportunities within the context of the Olin Business School’s internationalization priorities, institutional and student needs, and best practices in the field of international education. Collaborate on developing the strategic direction of the Undergraduate Program. Manage program budgets, operations, and logistics.
Serve as a four-year academic advisor to business degree students. Develop knowledge of degree requirements and other academic resources. Serve as a point person for one or more academic majors or minors. Assist in engaging students and faculty in international co-curricular initiatives; advising international themed student organizations.
Maintain relationships with partner institutions and study abroad program providers. Oversee new program development and manage existing portfolio of programs. Oversee evaluation of programs abroad for academic excellence and adequacy of support.
Deliver pre-departure and on the ground curricular support through our credit bearing pre-departure preparation courses and orientation as well as academic course work taken while abroad. Assist with curriculum integration of study abroad across all BSBA programs, when necessary.
Evaluation and Assessment:
Compile research data (e.g., students' academic credit from overseas schools, courses taken, quality assessment of overseas programs) in order to identify and respond to specific needs or trends; write reports of this data to program, school, and university administrators and faculty; make recommendations for changes in the program as warranted. Conduct assessment such as focus group reviews with visiting exchange students, students returning from overseas programs, and graduating seniors; recommend ways to improve students' international experiences in the BSBA Program.
Implement and manage health, safety, and risk management plans for Olin Undergraduate Programs and collaborate on University-wide plans with other WU units. Serve as primary point of contact for Undergraduate Programs in case of emergency.
Contribute to University-level discussion and formulation of policies and processes that govern international activity via Administrative Subcommittee, International Travel Oversight Committee, and other committees as assigned by Olin leadership.
Administer study abroad advising, application, and selection process for participating students. Coordinate academic and student services for international programs' participants including collaborating with other four-year academic advisors to ensure the program will ensure the student makes degree progress.
Manages global advisors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Six to nine years of relevant work experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills, to include demonstrated abilities in crisis management, building effective partnerships with faculty and administrators, and responding to parent and student concerns.
Financial planning and budget management.
Significant experience in student advising, program management, and program development.
Currently have or eligible for U.S. Passport.
Master’s degree in relevant field.
Seven years of related experience.
Foreign language skills and experience living, studying, or working abroad.
Teaching experience desired.
Previous international work in a School of Business.

The hiring range for this position is $53,996 - $73,278 annually.
