Reporting to the Director, the UA Tianjin Location Manager for China Programs is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily UA-related administrative tasks for the Arizona College of Technology, a joint college collaboration between the University of Arizona (UA) and Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in Tianjin, China. The Location Manager assists with overall UA faculty and administrative support, student support, inquiries and engagement, and ongoing projects and new initiatives at the joint college. The Location Manager also occasionally supports other China-region initiatives including establishing partnerships with educational institutions and implementing China programs including but not limited to Dual Degree Programs, Global Direct Programs, Early University Programs, and Pathway Programs.
The Location Manager for China Programs works with various offices within Arizona Global and across campus to support program operations that will lead to the successful implementation of China Programs, particularly UA Tianjin. The Location Manager also works with counterparts, administrators, and program faculty at HEBUT to support UA Tianjin operations and increase the success and satisfaction of program students in the joint college.
The candidate is expected to support and advance Inclusive Excellence, the UA diversity and inclusiveness strategic initiative designed to create an inclusive environment for all.
Assist in successfully implementing Arizona Global’s China region strategic plan.
Assist in managing and implementing dual degree programs for UA Tianjin.
Support the development and implementation of new UA China initiatives on occasion.
Serve as first point-of-contact for UA visitors to UA Tianjin.
Assist students, faculty, and staff at HEBUT with UA related inquiries and matters.
Work with counterparts at HEBUT in managing day-to-day operations.
Work with Arizona Global and HEBUT to facilitate extracurricular programming.
Assist in the implementation of programming and services for program students.
On occasion, serve as a UA representative at recruitment and publicity events in China.
Assist in collaborations between the Office of China Programs and various offices within UA Global as well as departments across campus.
Assist in collaborations between Office of China Programs and Chinese partners.
Assist in organizing engagement activities for Chinese students.
Draft program/project memos, reports, newsletters, brochures, etc.
Contribute to effective communication and reporting for China programs.
Other duties as assigned.
