The Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions at Binghamton University (SUNY) seeks a professional with knowledge and experience of databases and data analysis, marketing, recruitment and/or admissions in higher education for the position of Graduate Recruitment Operations Specialist to promote the values and strengths of Binghamton University's graduate programs to prospective students.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment, this professional will assist the University with implementing, supporting and overseeing the Graduate Admissions platform. The Graduate Recruitment Operations Specialist will develop, deliver, and maintain Slate-based communications, template libraries, standard queries, and on demand or custom reports within Slate.

The ideal candidate for this position has significant experience working with databases and will be a data driven, dynamic, and highly motivated individual who is comfortable with the technical aspects of the position.

Essential Functions:

• Create communication materials and campaigns using Slate to promote the University
• Perform quality assurance/control on correspondence, publications, and reports to ensure all materials are grammatically correct, free of spelling errors, and format, layout, and graphic representations are consistent with style guidelines
• Support the development of on-going and new drip email campaigns, specifically updating templates to be used and ensuring the logic is accurate
• Assist in executing communications and emails using new or existing templates, specifically ensuring targets are accurate
• Build and check queries (quality assurance) for mid- to high-risk communications involving student business processes
• Create reports using queries and data collected within Slate platform to support recruitment and admissions needs
• Proactively gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations of process and procedural documentation, implementing approved changes.
• Monitor and analyze enrollment and application trends; utilize data and performance indicators to create reports and advise the Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment and the Vice Provost for International Education and Global Affairs
• Coordinate, in collaboration with other team members, the JFK bus service to Binghamton University, including the scheduling and communications in Slate
• Support operations in Graduate Recruitment and Admissions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, engineering, sciences, computer science, or a related field
• Ability to manage and plan according to given timelines and priorities to deliver projects of varying size and urgency
• Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking, prioritization and decision-making skills
• Experience working with databases, including knowledge about the process of developing, delivering, and maintaining template libraries, queries, and reports
• Demonstrated organizational skills, including ability to plan, establish priorities and handle multiple tasks and projects
• Team player who is highly motivated, a self-starter, and a dedicated professional
• Ability and willingness to expand technical skills
• In-depth understanding and skill in process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations, and narrative description
• Ability to work well under pressure and balance competing priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and proven ability to learn and use new technology university systems

Preferred:

• Master's degree by June 2022 in business, data analytics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Experience with Slate or similar CRM tool
• Professional experience working in higher education and/or in recruitment or admissions 
• Familiarity with graduate school application and admission processes
• Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow, and architecture (CRM specific)
• Some experience with, or desire to learn, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or front-end frameworks
• Some experience with, or desire to learn, T-SQL and related complex data structures
• Demonstrated computer proficiency, including knowledge of office productivity software, preferably Windows and related database software
