Purpose
The team lead on the Global Customized Program (GCP) team is tasked to provide coordination over a portfolio of grant and custom programs. Working closely with Global Programs and Innovation (GPI) leadership, the team lead proactively ensures effective project management and communication to successfully develop and implement programs.
Responsibilities
Team Coordination, Communication, and Support
- Coordinate project management across the Global Customized Program (GCP) team for a portfolio of prospective, pending, and active programs.
- Meet weekly with Global Programs and Innovation (GPI) leadership to provide project management updates on all proposed and current programs, communicating workflow updates and highlighting issues that need to be elevated for review/decisions.
- Monitor requirements for program deliverables to ensure they are met by stated deadlines.
- Determine resources needed to successfully administer GCP grant and contracted programs; make resource recommendations to GPI leadership as needed.
- Serve as a resource/mentor to GCP team members in proposal processes and in program administration, including but not limited to identifying resources, program development and budgets.
- Develop agenda for weekly GPI team meetings, follow-up on any actionable items identified.
- Serve as GCP liaison to Texas Global accounting team to finalize budgets after approval from GPI leadership.
- Oversee the training and onboarding of new GCP staff. Supervise and manage junior program staff, student employees, and volunteers, formally and informally, as assigned.
Grant Identification and Proposal Development
- Conduct research in collaboration with colleagues to identify funding opportunities in support of Texas Global’s strategic goals; communicate viable opportunities to leadership through a weekly grants digest.
- Support GPI leadership in the coordination of grant submissions by working collaboratively with GCP team members to develop assigned components; assemble and organize primary and supporting materials; and finalize documents for review by TXG leadership prior to proposal submission.
- Develop, oversee, and maintain a grant submissions proposal calendar and monitor adherence to defined processes and deadlines.
Coordination of Program Outreach and Participants’ Digital Experience
- Oversee social media activities across GPI programs.
- Oversee website updates for GPI and ensure posted programs are relevant and timely.
- Coordinate Canvas consistency across programs and develop platforms that users can easily use to complement their campus experience.
Program Administration & Management
- Manage a limited portfolio of grant/contracted programs with all standard duties required in administering a program, including but not limited to: program and budget development, logistics management, participant support, marketing and outreach, expenditure tracking and reconciliation, and assessment.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and seven years of relevant experience or a master’s degree and five years of relevant experience. Effective problem-solving skills and sound decision-making. Results-oriented, strong and efficient time-management, and impeccable organizational abilities. Proven experience managing details on multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced work environment. Strong customer focus with students, faculty, staff, and external partners; composure in stressful situations; and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience initiating, developing, and managing programs or projects, including assessment of program effectiveness in meeting intended objectives. Experience developing and managing budgets. Excellent professional demeanor in all activities and interactions. Equivalent combination or substitution of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups and adult learners. Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, foundations, etc. Experience composing strategic communications and writing proposals; creative and relevant marketing knowledge. Significant experience living, studying, or working abroad. High level of proficiency in a language other than English.
