About the Business Development Team
The Business Development team is responsible for selling marketing, market research and associated products and services in the Adventus platform and to a range of institutional customers and partners across the globe.
The team is accountable for driving sales growth and revenue year on year whilst delivering undeniable value, service and experience for our partners through building trusting long-term relationships.
About the Role
The Associate Director Business Development will have primary responsibility in your geographic region to build institutional engagement with the Adventus platform, optimizing marketing spend by institutions on products and services to promote themselves and their courses as overseas study opportunities to prospective international students. Working collaboratively with Adventus Partnerships team members, you will leverage your experience and expertise to create new growth opportunities for Adventus.io. The focus of the position is to identify and develop sales opportunities to ensure positive customer experiences that increase and maintain the value of our product.
Work with Partnerships team members to identify business development opportunities with client institutions that will support the strategic vision and growth of Adventus.io.
Continuously work to identify new opportunities for current partners who wish to invest resources to increase engagement and recruitment outcomes.
Close sales opportunities and ensure client retention and high satisfaction through relationship development.
Establish a trusted/strategic advisor relationship with each partner and drive continued value and revenue of our products prioritising strategically important partners
Facilitate regular internal training about the market, products and services ensuring internal teams understand the opportunities and the value proposition.
Advocate partner needs/issues cross-departmentally and support internal teams in ensuring the smooth delivery of services.
Define business development plan to maximize the synergy between partner institutions and our sending regions/countries.
Responsible for regionalising the business development strategy to achieve targets and drive partner growth across the USA.
Develop regional and local revenue targets, providing guidance on expected market, client, and adjacent services growth.
Provide insight and ideas for the evolution of Adventus.io commercial product portfolio and go-to-market strategy.
Serve as a point of contact as product and platform expert in the region.
Ability to develop and execute tactical sales plans that meet or exceed our regional growth objectives.
Represent Adventus.io at relevant industry events ensuring Adventus.io is perceived as a market leader with deep educational sector relevance in the region.
More than 5 years’ experience in higher education, business development / sales, strategic planning or relationship management
Outcomes focused, target oriented and business savvy.
Proven capability in developing and executing operational and sales strategies and activities.
Results orientated with a proven record of successfully meeting annual sales targets/quotas.
Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in a timely manner based on thoughtful analysis and critical judgment.
Thrive in a multi-tasking environment and can adjust priorities quickly.
Self-motivated, self-managed proactive, risk taking, and a remarkably high drive to succeed.
Proven ability to drive continuous value of product(s)
Detail oriented and analytical
Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally.
Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with all levels of administration, including senior management staff and senior level customers to drive and enhance long term partnerships.
Experience of senior level client management
